Do you have a collection that seems to be taking over your life?

Why did you start collecting it?

Can you consider letting go of some of it?

Is there anything I don't collect? When I was younger, I'd collect typical things. I would get stickers but I'd never use any of them. I collected coins, stuffed toys, even my old homework! I still have a lot of that stuff, though my ex-fiancée insisted that I photograph my stuffed toys and get rid of them (and now I regret that!) I keep lots of other things around now, but sometimes I take an evening (or a day or a weekend!) to throw out things I know I don't need. For a while there, I had just about every credit card statement since the beginning of time (and I used to have quite a few credit cards). And I keep retail packaging of products I buy, with the intention of maintaining resale value. And on that note, I have a lot of computer parts piling up, as well as some other odd electronics I don't use any more. And I have a really hard time deleting digital photos that I've taken, though I've gotten better about letting go of the blurry, dark and boring ones with some coaxing from a friend. (I now have over twenty thousand digital photos accumulated over the past six years.) Oh and there's that unmanageably huge mess of MP3 files, too. I have about two terabytes of hard drive space spread amongst my computers (with my Windows Home Server - used for backups and file sharing - owning about half of it.)
