Well local around these parts anyway... maybe not yours. My name's Jason and I found Kristen's site a long time ago in a land far, far away, and I really appreciated what she was doing with all of her accumulated knowledge, so I've been around ever since. I've let computers consume a lot of my life but I make sure the people around me consume the rest. And then I add in another chunk of entertainment and work and hobbies and all that other stuff, and I guess it adds up to 150%, which is just how I like it. I'm a web application programmer by day, but I like to learn about everything so I spend lots of time observing, doing researching, and trying to live life and enjoy everything that I can. I look forward to intelligent conversations with other people like Kristen and myself that just love knowledge!

Hey, I know you. I'm so happy you joined!

Everyone needs to know that:

#1 We are not related even though we have the same last name. Jason was just a random Kristen's Guide visitor who helped change my life via the Internet.

#2 Kristen's Guide would still be a floppy-disk-sized site, sitting on a Tripod server, and covered with pop-up ads if it weren't for this guy. He was the first person to encourage me to do something more with it, and now it helps me pay my bills. Thank you.

#3 This guy is smart!

Hey, shouldn't you be shamelessly plugging your website in here somewhere? Stick it in your signature!

I'll let you do the shameless plugging. Besides, your nifty "yet another forum" adds those little icons for "web site" and "blog" so I don't need to do that extra work. And finally, since my web site is private and reserved for family and friends, there's little point in plugging it publicly. I've become quite reserved about pushing my sites on others, until I find/make the time to take one of my side projects to completion!

Oh yeah, forgot about the little icon. I'm still getting used to this thing.

I was thinking more along the lines of your talltree site.

My friend did a design for it about a year ago, and I still haven't finished putting it together. I'm too embarrassed about the current one to share it! Thanks for looking out for me though.
