Start a Daily Healthy Habits Goal LogPage Updated on July 28, 2007There are a couple of ways to do this. If you prefer to schedule things into your day, you can print out a daily schedule or a daily routine sheet from the Printables section. Download a Blank Daily Goal Log or a Daily Routine Sheet from the section. You'll use this to remind you to incorporate your new healthy habits into your lifestyle every day until they become truly habitual. Fill in the month and year where indicated. If you're using a blank log, in the top row, write one new habit you wish to adopt in each cell. Keep track of each habit by putting an X (or other mark of your choice) in the box that corresponds with the date below the habit you're logging. "I don't feel that I have mastered some of my habits this month. I want to start new habits, but I want to continue to keep track of the habits that need a little extra work, too. What should I do?" If you didn't master a specific habit, you can just write it in on the log for next month. (If you are using the filled log, you have room to write in four habits from the previous month. If you need to track more than four habits from the previous month, you will need to print out some blank logs.) "My log has lines for 31 days, but the current month only has 30 days. What do I do with the extra line?" Decorate it. Leave it blank. Cross it off. Whatever you want to do. Each page of the log is designed to be started in any month, and since some months have 31 days, there are 31 lines on each page. If the current month only has 28 days, ignore lines 29, 30, and 31. "I want to start my habits today, but it's not the first of the month. Should I wait until the first day of next month to start?" There are two options. 1) Start today and log your progress starting on the current day. If it's the 15th, start logging your habits on line 15. You can also carry habits over to the next month. 2) Start practicing habits today, but don't start logging them until the first day of the next month (a good idea if you're starting at the end of this month). |
