The Goal: Develop a Healthier Lifestyle
No Deadlines
The goal isn't to reach a destination, to weigh 120 lbs., to fit into that size 3 dress, to drop 30 points from your cholesterol, etc. The goal is to have a healthier lifestyle. Getting healthy, losing weight, etc. are just really nice side-effects of having a healthy lifestyle. It has taken a long time to develop the lifestyle you currently have, and it will take a long time to change it. If you try to have a complete lifestyle overhaul in one day, you'll probably fail to make it a lifetime commitment. You need to change your lifestyle the same way that you developed it, gradually. By taking small steps, you will gradually transform the way you eat, sleep, move, think, and feel for the better. This program is designed to help you do just that.
IMPORTANT: BEFORE YOU GET STARTED ...
You must understand that I am not a medical doctor. I've developed this program from my own experience and knowledge. Please use your own judgment when deciding how you will apply the information I provide, and consult your physician to discuss if and how the information provided applies to you.
Let's Get Started
See Your Doctor
No excuses. If you don't have insurance, find out how much it will cost and save up your money. This is incredibly important for many reasons.
Do an Initial Health Evaluation
This is to help you figure out your starting point, what your your health like when you began this new lifestyle, so you can see how far you've come.
Start Paying Attention to Your Daily Routine
It's amazing how much of our activities are simply a matter of habit and routine. We need to realize what our current routine is to help us add new habits to our routine.
Start a Journal
Every person should write in a journal at least 20 minutes a day. Journals are one of the easiest things you can do to improve your health.
Get Motivated
How to get excited about your new healthy lifestyle.
Why We Fail to Live a Healthier Lifestyle
You may be motivated, but if you want to keep from falling off the wagon, you'll need to dig deep into your mind to get rid of obstacles.
Start a Daily Healthy Habits Goal Log
Sometimes it can be difficult to remember what new habits you are supposed to do every day. This will help you keep on task.
Start a Quarterly Health Evaluation
This is an effective way to keep track of your progress.
Pick Some New Healthy Habits
I recommend starting with some new exercises habits and nutrition habits first since together they produce the fastest results. Grooming habits come next followed by creating a healthy environment for your new healthy lifestyle to thrive in. Finally, start dedicating some times to mental, emotional, and spiritual habits to ensure that you continue on your path and have the skills to fully appreciate your success.
Healthy Exercise Habits
Exercise is the only way you'll see and feel the biggest positive changes in the shortest amount of time.
Healthy Nutrition Habits
Good nutritional habits will fuel your new exercise habits and even out your body chemistry, making you feel better overall.
Healthy Grooming Habits
Grooming habits make us feel good because they make us look good. Taking time everyday to groom ourselves boosts our self-esteem.
Healthy Home Habits
These are the things in our environment that can make us sick or just cause us to feel depressed. A healthy home is necessary for healthy occupants.
